    The Product department develops exceptional products that are consistent with the Bank’s mission and strategy, and delivers great experiences for our clients. Specifically, the department builds value propositions to deliver against a competitive product roadmap, manages the profitability and usability of our existing suite of offerings, and partners with key departments to ensure an exceptional client experience.



    The Product Analyst ensures that Tangerine’s lending products support our brand and meet our acquisition, conversion, retention and customer experience goals while maintaining alignment with regulatory compliance.

    The successful incumbent will participate in the development, implementation and maintenance of product and process changes for Tangerine’s lending product line.  The incumbent will collaborate with other teams in marketing, compliance, credit risk and across the organization to create opportunities to strengthen Tangerine’s conversion, cost efficiency, and existing client satisfaction while meeting regulatory requirements. 


    The Product Analyst, Retail Lending reports directly to the Senior Manager, Retail Lending Product Management.



    • Manage the performance of the lending product set, which includes: Mortgages, HELOC, and unsecured loan products
    • Draft business cases and marketing recommendations on product strategies and tactics by interpreting business and client needs
    • Document business requirements and initiate regulatory changes through our work processes
    • Draft product and procedural content for the business to ensure that the client touch points present the features and benefits of our products while meeting regulatory requirements
    • Conduct in depth product research leveraging internal and external analysis
    • Work closely with inter-departmental teams (i.e. IT, Marketing, Compliance, Credit Risk, Services and Sales, Legaletc.) to assist in implementing recommendations that strengthen product performance, features, positioning and processes
    • Identify and evaluate critical product and process success factors that make the product set valuable to clients
    • Identify and support the end to end delivery of regulatory change as it applies to our products and services
    • Support the business through tracking key product performance metrics and contributing in depth product knowledge including key value drivers, key client needs, processes, product capabilities and functions, and regulatory requirements
    • Other duties as assigned


    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                                                                                        

    • Education/Experience
      • Undergraduate degree in business (marketing or finance major preferred)
      • MBA strongly preferred
      • Minimum of 3 years banking experience preferred
      • Minimum of 2 years product management experience preferred
      • Marketing experience in consumer financial products
      • Experience defining business requirements
    • Specialized Knowledge
      • Thorough understanding of the retail lending category
    • Technical Skills
      • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) is required
    • Abilities
      • Ability to write for an executive audience in an organized, logical, and persuasive manner

    WORKING CONDITIONS:                                  


    The Product Analyst, Retail Lending will be working in a traditional office environment and may be subject to special working conditions as needed by the business. Special working conditions may cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, overtime, shift work, working outdoors and/or working with challenging clients.
