    The Product department develops exceptional products that are consistent with the Bank’s mission and strategy, and delivers great experiences for our clients. Specifically, the department builds value propositions to deliver against a competitive product roadmap, manages the profitability and usability of our existing suite of offerings, and partners with key departments to ensure an exceptional client experience. Payments & Lending covers four product groups; Chequing/Debit, Unsecured Lending, Credit Cards, and Secured Lending.


    Working closely with Credit Card Product Management, other cross functional areas including: Service and Sales, Marketing, Operations and Risk and Finance, the Senior Analyst will be responsible for analyzing product profitability. This role will support the Senior Manager of Product Performance Management Credit Cards in the coordination of forecasting, product planning activities and financial impact for all Credit Card products. In addition, the Senior Analyst will produce and monitor the overall P&L performance for all Credit Card products. The Senior Analyst will report directly to the Senior Manager of Product Performance Management Credit Cards.


    • Prepare timely and accurate daily weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual forecasts and plans for all Credit Card products.
    • Prepare analysis on ad hoc requests to support product management initiatives.
    • Relationship contact for day-to-day finance activities related to product forecasting, planning and pricing activities.
    • Design, evaluate and select appropriate data modeling techniques to assess product profitability.
    • Produce reports for forecasting and product profitability analysis.
    • Coordinate MTP planning from a Credit Card perspective.
    • Develop and maintain expert knowledge of the key drivers of account, activity and balance growth, exploring volume and pricing relationships for Tangerine’s Credit Card products.
    • Coordinate P&L monitoring and Insights including: revenue, cost to acquire, write offs and maintain, cost control.
    • Assess pricing and marketing campaign offers for potential volume lift and P&L impact.
    • Monitor and maintain reporting including portfolio and campaign level tracking that offers financial insights on product performance and profitability.
    • Deep dive analysis on topics related to Credit Card product P&L.
    • Build and maintain regular detailed reports to augment existing dashboards, highlighting important trends.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:                 

    • Education/Experience
      • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in Finance or equivalent industry experience
      • MBA preferred
    • Professional Certification
      • CFA and CSC is preferred
    • Specialized Knowledge
      • Financial acumen and understanding of P&L
    • Technical Skills
      • Exceptional Excel skills

    WORKING CONDITIONS:                                  

    The Senior Analyst of Credit Card Product Profitability will be working in a traditional office environment and may be subject to special working conditions as needed by the business. Special working conditions may cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, overtime, shift work, working outdoors and/or working with challenging clients.
