    DEPARTMENT SUMMARY:

    The Mutual Funds Department is comprised of multiple teams, including Sales and Operations. Mutual Funds Sales is not only responsible for facilitating the sale of mutual funds to our Clients, but is also charged with educating the customer on their various mutual fund options. Whether you're looking to invest in the Tangerine Investment Fund, set-up an ASP on your mutual fund account or update your investor profile, our friendly and knowledgeable Mutual Funds Associates will be happy to assist you. Mutual Funds Operations is responsible for all of the processing as well as the reconciliation of Mutual Fund trades. Whether funds need to be transferred from other financial institutions or trades need to be settled, our dedicated Operations Associates are hard at work to process all the mutual fund-related transactions.

    Role Purpose:

    The Senior Manager, Investments Performance Optimization and Programs, reports directly to the VP, Investments. The Senior Manager is responsible for providing strategic thought leadership to the Investments businesses by developing, prioritizing and monitoring pricing strategies and growth initiatives while supporting the strategic direction of the Tangerine Investments brand. The incumbent is also accountable for stewardship of the Investments portfolio, ensuring short and medium-term strategies enhance long-term franchise value of the business. This role will also be accountable for developing the roadmap for critical multi-stream programs for the investments business. The outputs delivered by these programs are major components of the Bank’s overarching strategy.

    Role Accountabilities:

    • Contribute to the development of the Investments business strategy to support the direction of Tangerine’s long-term objectives
    • Stewardship for the long-term viability of the business, ensuring short and medium term initiatives enhance portfolio franchise value
    • Strategic guidance on impact of Client and macro-economic insights on volume and P&L results
    • Lead the professional development of the Investments Performance Optimization Team
    • Formulate Investment business unit pricing strategies; prioritize initiatives based on established performance benchmarks
    • Interpret Client behavior, macro-economic trends and asset flows to conduct scenario analysis and inform business decisions that support strategic growth and positive contributions to the Investments P&L
    • Develop and manage key performance indicators for the Investments business
    • Act as lead conduit to Finance for all budget planning activities, including forecasting, cost allocation and analytics
    • Act as lead conduit to the Data Science and Analytics team for Investments Client intelligence
    • Provide strategic support & counsel to Executive Management
    • Responsible for understanding and complying with the Regulatory Compliance Framework including the Anti-Money Laundering/Anti-Terrorist Financing and Sanctions Policy and all AML related policies, procedures and controls within the department.

    Minimum Qualifications:                                                                                                                                                  

    • Education/Experience
      • MBA Degree preferred
      • 3-5 years’ experience in relevant fields such as strategy, business development and/or management consulting
    • Abilities
      • Ability to effectively lead through change and ambiguity
      • Ability to coach, inspire and develop others in business analysis, strategic thinking & planning
      • Strong integrative thinking ability to leverage portfolio and Client level insights to develop strategic growth tactics
      • Strong quantitative and financial analytical skills

    Working Conditions:                                  

    The Senior Manager, Investment Performance Optimization will be working in a traditional office environment and may be subject to special working conditions as needed by the business. Special working conditions may cover a range of circumstances from regular evening and weekend work, overtime, shift work, working outdoors and/or working with challenging clients.
