    The mandate of the Human Resources department is to develop, implement and co-ordinate policies and programs related to: employment, employee relations, payroll, benefits, recruitment, internal communications and succession planning and employee development. The department ensures compliance with all employment standards and governing legislation.

    ROLE Purpose:

    The mandate of the Human Resources Talent Acquisition Specialist is to partner with various client groups providing them with HR services throughout the recruitment process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a critical role in ensuring we are hiring the best possible talent for the bank. This role also provides support to the Human Resources team in a wide variety of activities, so that the team can continue to deliver exceptional service to clients. The Talent Acquisition Specialist reports directly to the Manager of Talent Acquisition.




    1. Fulfill in timely manner recruitment requests which result in “best candidate” hires.
    2. Responsible for sourcing candidates from a variety of sources.
    3. Prepare and provide internal feedback for employees on status of their application and interview.
    4. Assist in developing Job Descriptions and evaluate compensation structure.
    5. Analyze and Review Credit Bureau Checks.
    6. Administer any recruitment training required for the bank.
    7. Understand bank products and the strategy of the bank.
    8. Stay abreast of the internal movement and changes to understand the skill gaps and opportunities.
    9. Backfill for Human Resources Consultants while on vacation on staff movement issues and create letter of employments.


    • Build strong internal relationships to identify potential opportunities and staffing solutions for managers.
    • Build a strong pipeline of candidates through strong network and online following.
    • Research and recommend new sources for active and passive candidate recruiting.
    • Manage external Recruitment Vendor. 


    • Attend and participate in relevant webinars, conferences and meeting to stay abreast of industry.
    • Research workforce market conditions to be aware of the competition and success of rate of hire.
    • Other duties as assigned.

    Minimum Qualifications:                                                                                                                                                  

    • Education/Experience
      • Post-Secondary education
      • 3-5 years of Recruitment work experience preferred
    • Specialized Knowledge
      • Knowledge of the Canada Labour Code
    • Technical Skills
      • Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
      • Outstanding organizational and analytical skills
